“Walk to The Water”
A sponsored walk arranged by ‘Open Doors’ to remember those who have to walk 5 miles to fetch water.
Money raised from the walk meant that Christians in at least one village would no longer have to “Walk to the Water”.
We gathered from a wide area to remember those Christians who are forced to walk 5 miles to collect their water not because water is not available but because they are Christians.
Many of us went to hear Eddie Lyle of Open Doors the following evening at Doncaster City Celebration.

We gathered in Bawtry Methodist Church.
The walk took us through picturesque Scrooby from which Christians, The Pilgrim Fathers, in the past had to flee to America so that they could worship in freedom.
